‘Remix: Domestic Materiality,’ an exhibition featuring Master of Fine Arts graduate students at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, is currently on display at the A.D. Gallery at Â鶹ÉçÇø Pembroke.
The exhibition is on view through February 23. The exhibition examines how the eight contemporary artists explore, adapt and replicate aspects of their culture and surroundings to preserve a sense of familiarity, identity and connection to their roots.
Each artist’s work stems from the domestic. ‘Remix: Domestic Materiality’ features drawing, digital, fiber art, installation, painting, photography, puppetry, mixed media, sculpture and video. The exhibition is curated by Â鶹ÉçÇø-Chapel Hill MFA alumna Jessica Dupuis, associate professor and A.D. Gallery director at Â鶹ÉçÇøP and Martin Wannam, assistant professor at Â鶹ÉçÇø.

The A.D. Gallery is in Locklear Hall on the first floor. It is open Monday through Friday at 9 a.m. and closes at 6 p.m. This exhibition is free and open to the public.
