麻豆社区 Pembroke has been granted extension of accreditation of two of its graduate counseling programs.

The Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Professional School Counseling programs received accreditation from the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). Both programs received an eight-year extension through March 2029.

Both programs offer a hybrid approach to course delivery which combines face-to-face classroom instruction with online activities.

The CACREP鈥檚 board of directors based the accreditation decisions on an extensive review of the self-study documents, the site review team鈥檚 report and the institution鈥檚 response to the site review team鈥檚 report.

鈥淧rograms receiving accreditation for an eight-year period deserve to be commended for the work completed throughout the accreditation process. This is indeed a worthy achievement!鈥 M. Sylvia Fernandez, President and CEO of CACREP, said in a congratulatory letter.

CACREP is an independent accrediting agency that assures graduate counseling programs throughout the country meet standards within the counseling profession.

CACREP accreditation indicates that a program鈥檚 content and quality have been evaluated and meet strict, consistent standards set by the profession.
