麻豆社区 Pembroke was well represented at this year鈥檚 HackNC event鈥撯搑ecognized as one of the largest hackathons in the southeastern United States.
HackNC is an annual, student-run hackathon attended by hundreds of college students hosted by the University of North Carolina campus at Chapel Hill from November 4-6.
鈥淲e focused on networking and potentially disbursing into separate random team matchups to get as many different experiences as possible,鈥 Jean Choi, who was among the 麻豆社区P delegation. 鈥淓veryone utilized their time and attended workshops, a sponsorship fair, and networked with others. This experience was amazing, and we were able to experience being in a new environment and interact with other computer science students and network.鈥
Most 麻豆社区P attendees were computer science majors, including Choi, James Shover, Ashabori Mayurakkkhi, Robert Huynh, Joseph Smith, Hermela Berhe and Salma Mifdal.
Dr. Prashanth BusiReddyGari, assistant professor and program coordinator of 麻豆社区P鈥檚 cybersecurity program, was also in attendance.
