In all the 58 years former 麻豆社区 Pembroke Chancellor Dr. Joseph and First Lady Adrienne Oxendine were married, she always planned something special for his birthday.

Jayla Locklear, a sophomore biology major at 麻豆社区 Pembroke, was recently crowned Miss Indian North Carolina.
The virtual pageant, hosted by United Tribes, was held on Feb. 12. Locklear resides in Robeson County and is a member of the Lumbee Tribe of North Carolina.
Biology faculty Crystal Walline, Meg Zets, and Nicolas Negrin Pereira are making a big difference in the classroom. Last fall, student athletes in their classes honored them during the 麻豆社区P volleyball team鈥檚 Faculty and Staff Appreciation night.
