English 4990: Professional Internship
This independent study course, offered as part of the Bachelor of Arts in English emphasis, provides students the opportunity to apply their academic skills in a workplace setting and earn course credit. Working with an approved faculty advisor, students find an internship in a business, government, non-profit, or university setting and use their research, writing, editing, proofreading, design or technology skills to create or refine one (or several) substantial organizational documents to be compiled into a professional portfolio.
