PEMBROKE—Scott Hicks, PhD, director of the Teaching & Learning Center and professor of English, has been selected to attend the 2023 Modern Language Association Institute on Reading and Writing Pedagogy in June.
The World Languages Program hosted a Talent Show on Thursday, March 23 from 2:30-4:30 p.m. in Moore Auditorium. The event was open to all, and it included the opportunity for online students to participate via video submission.
The First-Year Composition Program at Â鶹ÉçÇø Pembroke hosted a retreat on March 24, 2023. The event featured presentations, collaborative sessions, and breakfast and lunch for English faculty members.
Dr. Elise Dixon was inspired to come Â鶹ÉçÇø Pembroke by the positive comments she heard from faculty about their relationships with students here; she notes that her purpose at Â鶹ÉçÇøP is to serve students more than anything else.
