The professional development series for faculty who want to teach Writing Intensive courses (WE or WD courses) will begin on Friday, August 25. If you are interested in this opportunity, please register as soon as possible using This will be the only professional development series for the Writing Intensive Program during the 2023-2024 academic year.
The dates for the professional development workshops for fall 2023 are as follows:
- Friday, August 25鈥 鈥淐reating the Writing Intensive Course鈥
- Friday, September 8鈥 鈥淲riting in the Disciplines鈥
- Friday, October 6 鈥 鈥淐reating Effective Writing Assignments鈥
- Friday, November 3鈥 鈥淩esponding to Student Writing鈥
All workshops run from 2:00鈥5:00 PM in Dial Humanities Building, Room 225. The WI professional development workshops are required for faculty interested in teaching Writing Enriched or Writing in the Discipline courses but the sessions are open to all faculty on a space available basis.
