Dr. Lauer completed her undergraduate studies at James Madison University (‘17) where she found her passion for educating. She then went on to pursue a doctoral degree in Chemistry from Clemson University (’22) where she developed sustainable composites from sulfur and biomass under the advisement of Prof. Rhett C. Smith. Before joining the faculty at Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP, Dr. Lauer completed a 30-month post-doctoral appointment with the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) working with IR-transparent liquid crystalline elastomers prepared by inverse vulcanization.
