Respiratory Protection

Different types of respiratory protection equipment

Âé¶¹ÉçÇø - Pembroke's Environmental Health and Safety Office, in compliance with state and federal laws, adopted from Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) rules found at 29 CFR 1910.134, has developed a Respiratory Protection Program.  This program covers and faculty and staff employed by the university , who are required to wear respiratory protection. 

You might need respiratory protection if inhalation hazards exist in your work environment. If you wear a respirator at Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP, you must use it according to the Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP Respiratory Protection Program designed to protect faculty and staff by establishing accepted practices for assessing respiratory hazards and selecting, using and caring for respirators.
