Students have opportunities for hands-on work experiences through internships.   We have had students intern with: Spectrum, CORVID Technologies, GitHub, PC Tech, Community Care of NC, Bar Ridge Capital Group LLC, Âé¶¹ÉçÇøP’s Division of Information Technology, and the LREMC. Opportunities with Red Hat are in development.

According to US New & World Report, cybersecurity ranked 5th of the top college majors leading to higher-paying jobs.  There are private and public sector jobs in defense, healthcare, law enforcement, education businesses, non-profits, just to name a few.  Job titles include security analysts, digital forensic specialists, vulnerability analyst, security software engineer.
